BMW iX has announced the pricing of its updated electric SUV for Australia, but has only revealed the base model for now.

The new BMW iX is due to arrive in Australia in mid-2025, with the base xDrive45 M Sport model starting at $142,900 (excluding on-road costs).
That’s $6000 more than the previous xDrive40 Sport model, but the standard features have been improved. These include:
- Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof
- Heated steering wheel
For the first time in the Australian market, the base iX model can be optionally equipped with air suspension and BMW Integral Active Steering, which eases low-speed movement and increases stability at high speeds.BMW says that only one iX variant will be launched initially, but more models will be announced later.Details of the new xDrive60 and M70 xDrive variants for the European market have already been released.
Key upgrades to the new base model:
- 60kW more power and 30Nm more torque
- 0-100km/h sprint in just 5.1 seconds (1 second faster than before)
- Larger 94.8kWh battery (upgraded from 77kWh), which supports 175kW DC charging (up from 150kW)
- The xDrive45 now has a WLTP range of 602km, compared to 425km for the previous xDrive40

BMW iX Servicing and Warranty
BMW Australia has yet to announce updated service pricing.
The previous iX model had a six-year Unlimited-kilometre Service Inclusive Basic Package, priced at $3475.
BMW is offering a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty on the battery for its cars.
